{"id":695,"date":"2010-02-12T13:01:58","date_gmt":"2010-02-12T20:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zardra.dimmet.net\/?p=695"},"modified":"2010-02-12T14:02:47","modified_gmt":"2010-02-12T21:02:47","slug":"cleaning-out-the-cobwebs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zardra.dimmet.net\/?p=695","title":{"rendered":"Cleaning out the cobwebs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/zardra\/4316930832\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 10px;\" title=\"Lily Pup\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4049\/4316930832_5d7a52b664_m.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>Time flies when life is crazy.\u00a0 International travel followed by the introduction of a new family member (see right) along with the stress of an archival collection move to prepare for at work has kept the days rolling by without note here.\u00a0 But, mostly, the addition of a puppy has taken up most of my time.\u00a0 There hasn&#8217;t even been a lot of knitting, and there&#8217;s been no spinning since we got her in October.<\/p>\n<p>Her name is Lily, and we got her from a rescue that takes dogs out of kill shelters in SoCal and brings them north for adoption.\u00a0 Lily&#8217;s mom was the one actually rescued and then discovered to be pregnant.\u00a0 Mom was a white cockapoo, and there have been many guesses as to what dad may have been.\u00a0 The general consensus is either wire-haired dachshund or some sort of terrier.\u00a0 Lily&#8217;s nickname is Troublebutt &#8212; she&#8217;s 7 months old as of last week and has been having loads of fun finding news things to make a mess of.<\/p>\n<p>With the Winter Olympics (and thus <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/groups\/ravelympics-2010\">Ravelympics<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yarnharlot.ca\/blog\/archives\/2010\/02\/10\/the_2010_knitting_olympics.html\">Knitting Olympics<\/a>) about to commence tonight, I thought it was time to do some spring cleaning in the old blog.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve done away with the large gathering of <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">dust bunnies<\/span> Russian spam and installed a shiny new post.\u00a0 Of course, I have no idea if there&#8217;s anyone out there still bothering to read.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/zardra\/3764292722\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 10px;\" title=\"Handspun\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2594\/3764292722_2f77dfff69_m.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>Now to decide on projects.\u00a0 For the Ravelympics, I&#8217;m on Team Suck Less, and my project is going to be to spin for a complete project.\u00a0 I just haven&#8217;t decided yet if I will be spinning for socks or a lace shawl.\u00a0 Decisions, decisions.
