{"id":628,"date":"2009-06-09T09:00:45","date_gmt":"2009-06-09T16:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zardra.dimmet.net\/?p=628"},"modified":"2009-06-03T15:40:04","modified_gmt":"2009-06-03T22:40:04","slug":"happiness-is-a-new-spinning-wheel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zardra.dimmet.net\/?p=628","title":{"rendered":"Happiness is a new spinning wheel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have to admit that while it&#8217;s terribly exciting to be done with my thesis and graduated, the best part of finishing was coming home to find this in my living room the day after submitting my thesis to the university\u00a0 in April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/zardra\/3478195004\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Spinning Wheel\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3304\/3478195004_03a51f69b0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The husband had gone to <a title=\"Purlescence Yarns\" href=\"http:\/\/purlescenceyarns.com\/\">Purlescence Yarns<\/a> while I was out knitting with friends at a cafe and brought it home after paying it off (lay-away rocks).\u00a0 It had been decided that it would probably be more fun for me to put it together myself.\u00a0 It&#8217;s great to know how all the parts go together in case I have to break her down in the future.\u00a0 After getting her together, the husband told me he thought her name might be Catherine.\u00a0 It seems to be sticking.\u00a0 So, presenting Catherine, my new Schacht-Reeves cherry 30&#8243; double treadle spinning wheel:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/zardra\/3478196548\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Spinning Wheel\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3377\/3478196548_401aee8228.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s so pretty and spins wonderfully.
