{"id":615,"date":"2009-01-13T12:49:40","date_gmt":"2009-01-13T19:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zardra.dimmet.net\/?p=615"},"modified":"2009-01-13T12:50:08","modified_gmt":"2009-01-13T19:50:08","slug":"yarn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zardra.dimmet.net\/?p=615","title":{"rendered":"Yarn!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/purlescenceyarns.com\/\">Purlescence Yarns<\/a> held a yarn swap on Sunday in keeping with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knittersreview.com\/\">Knitter&#8217;s Review<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knittersreview.com\/article_yarn.asp?article=\/review\/profile\/090101_a.asp\">slow stashing<\/a> idea.<\/p>\n<p>I rummaged through the fiber bins on Saturday and picked out the things that no longer made me happy or that I just really couldn&#8217;t see myself ever actually knitting.\u00a0 This included a whole plastic bin of the stuff that I bought back when I first started knitting over 6 years ago (e.g., Homespun and Wool Ease).\u00a0 I figured that if someone wanted it they could take it, otherwise, everything left on the swap table at the end of the day was to be donated to charity.\u00a0 Either way, it&#8217;s out of my apartment.\u00a0 Surprisingly, someone actually took the sweater&#8217;s worth of Wool Ease I had brought.<\/p>\n<p>I came back with 2 bags of mostly sock and laceweight yarns.\u00a0 Now, they will be going through quarantine.\u00a0 I think I&#8217;m going to do it the quick and dirty way and stick everything in a garbage bag with a few moth balls.\u00a0 There&#8217;s too much to stick in the freezer.\u00a0 Besides, I don&#8217;t think The Husband would appreciate opening the freezer door looking for vodka only to find sock yarn. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Purlescence Yarns held a yarn swap on Sunday in keeping with the Knitter&#8217;s Review slow stashing idea.
