I don't remember what brand my niddy-noddy is, but I had to mark the length on it -- 63". FYI, when I am plying, I count my treadles until I think it looks good, then stop and check the result that has wound onto the bobbin. If I don't like it, I'll change the # of treadles until I get something I do like. The twist evens out by the time the skein has rested for a day or so.

This colorway would look fantastic as a gradient. Since I pulled it out a couple nights ago, I'm finding myself slightly regretting trading away the other 4 oz I had. I'm not usually an orange person, but the combination as a whole makes it work.

(Sorry for possibly sending this twice. I've just discovered I can reply to comments from the blog itself.)

August doldrums make perfect sense, especially since the summer's been so mild, I think.

If I had time, I was considering turning my Selfish into gradient laceweight singles for a shawl. (It may still happen, just not by the end of September.) I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

No, you're not crazy! I've got one more week before my vacation ends and haven't finished half of what I planned to do. I have a tank top on the needles that I'd love to wear before it gets too cool, some spinning to still do, some house stuff, etc. What am I doing -playing around online and watching TV... I think it's the August doldrums, myself.
